American Patrol

"The American Patrol" was performed by the late Glen Miller. Glen Miller was committed to the USO during World War II and died at the peak of his career when his plane went down over Europe to perform for our brave men and women serving over there. If you feel compelled, please visit www.uso.org and support America's best and bravest.

George Allen

My dad grew up across the street from this guy.

He has some very unpopular ideas in congress... Which is why I like him!

Speaking of very unpopular ideas, what if I told you that Glen Miller didn't write "American Patrol"?

F. W. Meacham wrote "American Patrol" in 1891, and the song was performed by J. P. Sousa's band before the turn of the century (that's pre-1900, some forty plus years prior to when then civilian Glenn Miller and his orchestra recorded "American Patrol" at the RCA Victor studios in Hollywood
on April 2, 1942 six months prior to his induction in October of that year). No doubt that Captain Miller and his band played his arrangement of "American Patrol" many times; he just didn't write the song.

Don't mean to pop a paradigm, but you might want to think about checking those facts.

Just an idea.
