American Patrol

"The American Patrol" was performed by the late Glen Miller. Glen Miller was committed to the USO during World War II and died at the peak of his career when his plane went down over Europe to perform for our brave men and women serving over there. Open Response to Katriuna Vanden Jeuvel. Progressives: Get Ready to Fight

>>Ideas and Local Invention. Progressives have to do more than oppose. We have to develop compelling arguments for moving the country in a different direction.

>> Argue Our Case. Progressives should be aggressively arguing our case--and learning how to argue our case more effectively.

I’m a conservative republican, but that doesn’t mean I don’t think progressives have some good points now and then. I, like a lot of people who traditionally punch the ticket (R), would be willing to vote (D) if you weren’t always shouting about Halliburton or George Bush being an evil, unilateralist, imperialistic mad-man. Democrats have been getting their message out, but it’s been filled with too many non-sequators (arguments that don’t follow logic) that people turn it off.

>>Progressives did more this year than anyone could have anticipated--and we still got beat by a bad President.

How did the republicans do it in 1994? How could the democrats do it in 2006? What are the republicans not doing in congress that Americans are demanding them to do? Promise it, and run on it.
